Aaron, our off-the-shelf version won't handle that well (it can be done, but with restrictions). We do, however, have a pre-release version that we are field testing that will handle that task. If you are interested in trying a demo, you can email us and we'll get it to you to try.

Charlie - - I just downloaded the free trial. The only need that I presently have is to print multiple page invoices without the continued reappearance of the header and footer on each page of the invoice. I watched your video and it appears that you have taken care of the "totals" footer so that it only appears on the last page. My question is whether or not your software permits the invoice header (logos, invoice no., invoice date, etc...) to appear on the first page only, and not on the second, third fourth, etc... With the header on each page of a multiple page invoice, I'm wasting a ton of paper. Many Thanks. Aaron

Comment on Adding Calculated Fields to Order Forms by Charlie

Are you referring to the "amount" column as it is set up in the "standard" form? Rather than a "calculated" field that you created, as this article discusses? And I assume you are using verison 3.3.1.1 of the program as well.

If so, it isn't a bug, it has to do with how the standard form is set up. If you select the "field list" on the right, then click on that amount field, you will see that the field is "TextAmount". It is a character field, not a numeric field, and the $ symbol is a part of the data. So you can't get rid of it easily. Instead of that field, use "Amount", which is a numeric field. Then you can format it.

Note that if you have any "comment" or description-only lines, using this template, you will then get a 0.00 value in that column instead of a blank value. That is why this release of the program uses a pre-formatted "TextAmount" field in the standard template.

If this is a problem for you then contact our support department and we can get you a pre-release of the next version of CCRQInvoice which has a better workaround for this issue, as it uses a more advanced version of the text editor.

Hello, I think there's a bug in the CCRQInvoice, I tried to make an invoice with toy car, 5 quantity * 100, in the amount it always shows a $ (dollar sign).

How can I turn it off, I tried to hit the 'pip' and format it to general, number only, but still there's no luck.

Thanks.

CCRQInvoice looks like a terrific product with a ridiculously low price (especially multi-user) and exceptional support. Thank you Charlie.

Jim, we are really behind schedule in releasing new features and updates, I agree. We are still doing some fine tuning of things. It takes awhile to get a release into "public" release. But, yes, we are way behind. And, yes, we are still actively developing our products.

Regarding QB 2011 compatibility, there are two issues.

First is the issue of the extra "custom fields" that Enterprise supports. We are close to supporting that in our products, although there are some issues there still. We had to wait for Intuit to release a bug fix that allowed us to get to those fields. That only happened recently. For Enterprise 11 we will be able to support those added fields - that should be coming out in August (tentatively). I'm not sure at this point if we'll support those extra fields in Enterprise 10 or not, Intuit's fix might not extend to that.

The other issue is Advanced Inventory. I won't predict a release date for support of that yet - mainly because Intuit still has bugs in the programming interface that relates to Advanced Inventory, and those bugs are causing a lot of problems.

Are you ever going to release an update to this product. It's been years. And last year you gave me a beta that fixed some problems I was having, but you never released it officially. Is this product dead as far as future development?

Catherine - QuickBooks templates are not compatible with CCRQInvoice. They are totally different, which is why our product can do so much more than QuickBooks. You would need to set up a template with our editor, from scratch.

It would be best if you contact us via our support email address (support@ccrsoftware.com) rather than try to work this out through blog comments...
