If Something Goes Wrong – Providing us with Diagnostic Info
If your copy of CCRQInvoice or CCRQBOM runs into a problem it can’t resolve, you will get an error window that displays a message describing the error. To be able to quickly diagnose the problem our technical support staff needs detailed information on the problem – here are some tips on how to best get that to us.
Importing and Exporting Templates
All CCRSoftware programs include a template editor(or “form” editor) that allows you to modify our built-in templates for reports and forms. Edited templates are saved as separate files, but to be used they must be located in the the appropriate folder on your computer. We provide an import and export function that helps you get templates in the proper place.
Backing Up CCRSoftware Files
CCRSoftware products work with the data in your QuickBooks company file rather than creating a separate set of company data to manage. However, there are some files that contain important information that are not a part of your QuickBooks file – and you should make a backup copy of this data periodically.
CCRQInvoice Sorting Problems: Updates
Some installations that are using the CCRQInvoice sorting feature have reported some problems. If you have run into any of these problems we may have an update for you that will resolve the issue.
Custom Fields in Enterprise 10
As I mentioned in an earlier note, when Intuit added features to the custom fields feature of Enterprise 10 then unfortunately did not make these features accessible to third-party programmers. Although Intuit extended the number of custom fields in the program, they are hidden from view in the programming interface. This creates several problems, and some users of CCRQInvoice are seeing cryptic error messages.
How To Get The Total Cost of Shortages On A Requirements List
CCRQBOM can generate a requirements list, a report that shows what items you need to purchase if you want to build a required quantity of an assembly. I’ll show you how to add some calculated fields to the report to provide total shortage cost calculation.
Stopping the Windows – No Disk Error
If you have a “card reader” on your system you may get a Windows error message that pops up when you start certain programs (such as the CCRSoftware applications) that is titled Windows – No Disk. You may get this several times in a row before the software starts. Here are some ideas on how to deal with this.
QuickBooks Bug: Building Fractional Assemblies
We spent several days working with one customer who could not get multiple level assemblies to build correctly with CCRQBOM. A requirements report would say that you could build, but when the build was issued the program would say that it couldn’t complete the build and would back everything out. It ends up that there is a bug in QuickBooks itself that is causing the problem.
QuickBooks Shuts Down When Issuing a Build
A user of CCRQBOM contacted us to report a problem when issuing a build transaction, where the build seemed to complete properly in CCRQBOM, but then QuickBooks would want to shut down without the build being recorded in the company file. After examining the file, we found that it was an error in QuickBooks itself.
CCRSoftware and QuickBooks 2010
All current releases of CCRSoftware products do work with QuickBooks 2010 without any problems, but the intial releases of the new version of QuickBooks has a number of bugs that are causing some people problems with some third party products.
